Off the Shot ("Off the Shot," "we," "us," or "our") is currently in a pre-launch waitlist phase, operated by [ENTITY NAME] (a company that has not yet been formally incorporated at the time of this draft). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit our waitlist landing page and sign up to be notified about the Off the Shot app.
Off the Shot is a wellness product, not a medical device or healthcare provider, and this landing page does not currently collect any health data directly from you beyond what is described below.
| Category | What it is | Why we collect it |
|---|---|---|
| Email address | The email you submit through our waitlist form | To notify you when Off the Shot launches and to send occasional updates about the product |
| Signup source / variant | URL parameters such as ?v=a|b|c or ?src=reddit, and referring page |
To understand which headline, channel, or campaign led to your signup, so we can improve messaging and measure ad performance |
| Standard analytics data | Device type, browser, approximate location (city/region level), pages viewed, time on page | To understand traffic and improve the site |
| Advertising pixel data (TikTok Pixel, Meta Pixel) | Event data (e.g., page view, form submission) shared with TikTok and Meta, which may include hashed identifiers per their standard pixel implementations | To measure ad campaign performance and, where applicable, build lookalike audiences for future marketing |
We do not currently ask for or collect your name, date of birth, weight, health conditions, medication history, or any other health information through this waitlist page. If a future version of the app collects health-related information (for example, once the Off the Shot app itself launches), we will update this policy and provide separate, specific disclosures before collecting it.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your email address with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes. We do share limited event-level data with advertising platforms (TikTok, Meta) as described above, strictly to measure and optimize our own ad campaigns — this is a standard "sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising" arrangement under CCPA/CPRA, and you can opt out as described in Section 6.
The Washington My Health My Data Act ("MHMDA") defines "consumer health data" broadly, and gives Washington consumers specific rights over that data. We take the following commitments:
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of your personal information, correct inaccurate information, and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information (including for cross-context behavioral advertising, which covers our use of ad pixels). We do not knowingly sell personal information for money. To exercise any of these rights, email offshotapp@gmail.com with the subject line "California Privacy Request." We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
We retain waitlist email addresses and associated signup metadata until the earlier of: (a) app launch plus a reasonable follow-up window, (b) your deletion request, or (c) two years of inactivity, at which point we will delete or anonymize the data. Aggregate, de-identified analytics data may be retained longer for internal reporting purposes.
We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Off the Shot is intended for adults 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from someone under 18, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, please contact us at offshotapp@gmail.com.
This site may link to third-party services (for example, TikTok, Instagram, or an email service provider). Those services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them. This policy applies only to data we collect directly.
We may update this policy as the product evolves, particularly once the Off the Shot app itself launches and begins collecting health-related data. We will post the updated policy here with a new effective date, and for material changes affecting consumer health data, we will seek your renewed consent where required by law.
Questions, requests, or concerns about this policy or your data can be sent to offshotapp@gmail.com.
Off the Shot is a wellness app, not a medical device. It does not provide medical advice — talk to your prescriber about medication decisions.
